Therapy Dogs

At Bitty Bites Pediatric Dentistry, we believe that your child's comfort is a priority. For that reason, we are proud to introduce our therapy dogs, Bear and Mia to the practice. They will be on hand to help ease any anxiety your child may have during their appointment.

Meet Bear

Adopted from the Old Dominion Boston Terrier rescue in 2018, Bear is a red Boston terrier who has been a fun addition to our family! He is 5 years old, super smart, and works hard to learn new tricks. He snorts a little and sounds like a piggy sometimes, but this is just a side effect of his short nose and is normal for his breed (plus we think it is adorable). Bear is certified as a Canine Good Citizen and has passed his Therapy Dog Certification with the AKC-recognized Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Bear is enjoying his first job as a dental therapy dog! He is almost too cute and will put you and your child at ease for the dental appointment!

Meet Mia

Adopted from the James River Greyhounds rescue in 2017, Mia was a race dog in Pensacola, Florida, for the first 3 years of her life. She is 5 now and is enjoying the retired life! She is the calmest dog we know and loves to be lazy all day long! She has passed multiple obedience and tricks classes, although she couldn't master the riding the skateboard trick. She loves low-energy activities like letting kids read books to her. We are now working on her Canine Good Citizen certification and will then work on her Therapy Dog Certification with the AKC-recognized Alliance of Therapy Dogs. You will see her in the office closer to summer!
